RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-954

A resolution approving Amendment No. 3 to the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for various health services, which amendment increases the grant amount by $75,000.00 for Homeland Security Services, to a maximum of $7,787,641.00.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government has received a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, for the provision of various health services; and,

Whereas, the total amount of compensation awarded has been increased; and,

Whereas, it is in the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to approve said amendment.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That Amendment No. 3 to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, providing various health services, which amendment increases the amount of said grant by $75,000.00 for Homeland Security Services, to a maximum of $7,787,641.00 and for a budget period of July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002, which amendment is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
