RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-944

A resolution appropriating $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for property acquisition and related costs in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area.

WHEREAS, application for the twenty-sixth year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. 099-69; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-sixth year included funds allocated to the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $50,000 has been recommended for property acquisition and related costs in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for property acquisition and related costs in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
