A resolution recognizing Sunset Grill on being a finalist for the National Restaurant Association Neighbor Award.

WHEREAS, Sunset Grill, owned by Randy Rayburn was selected from approximately ten local restaurants by the Tennessee Restaurant Association as one of two single-unit finalist representing Tennessee for the National Restaurant Association Neighbor Award; and

WHEREAS, this award recognizes the philanthropic efforts of restaurant operators; and

WHEREAS, some of the charitable efforts that Sunset Grill has contributed to in recent years include Nashville's Table, Taste of the NFL, and Belcourt YES; and

WHEREAS, each year Sunset Grill and Midtown Café donate cash, food, and gift certificates to community organizations; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Sunset Grill on being nominated for this prestigious award.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Sunset Grill on being a finalist for the National Restaurant Association Neighbor Award.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mr. Randy Rayburn.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
