A resolution recognizing the 2001 Goodpasture Christian School "Cougars" Boys Class A-AA Golf Team.

WHEREAS, the state tournament was held October 10, 2001, in Chapel Hill, Tennessee at Henry Horton State Park, were the Goodpasture "Cougars" Boys Golf Team won the TSSAA Class A-AA state title; and

WHEREAS, not only were the Goodpasture "Cougars" undefeated in district match play with a record of 15-0, but were the District 12 Champions and Region 6 Champions; and

WHEREAS, the team is coached by Conn Hamlett, who did an exceptional job in maintaining a winning tradition; and

WHEREAS, members of this talented team are Brandon Burris, Rob Clark, Reise Kelly, Tyler McLaughlin, and Zach Piper; and

WHEREAS, by their performance the coach and players brought recognition to their school, family and Nashville in showing their team play, sportsmanship, dedication and hard work; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the Goodpasture Christian School Boys Golf Team on their winning season.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the 2001 Goodpasture Christian School "Cougars" Boys Class A-AA Golf Team.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to the coach and each member of the team.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
