A resolution recognizing Jack and Aileen Rogers on their 50th wedding anniversary.

WHEREAS, a golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for a celebration; and

WHEREAS, Jack and Aileen where guest of honor at a celebration, given by their loving children at Belmont United Methodist Church with beloved family and friends; and

WHEREAS, the dedication, patience, wisdom, and understanding that they demonstrate on a daily basis has provided a firm foundation for both family and friends; and

WHEREAS, this devoted couple has shared the trails and triumphs of five decades together, their commitment, and unyielding strength is a source of inspiration; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Joe and Mary Blank on this joyous occasion, and extend our very best wishes for continued health and happiness as they embark on their second 50-year journey; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Jack and Aileen Rogers on their 50th wedding anniversary.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Jack and Aileen Rogers.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
