RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1295

A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Department of Law to compromise and settle the claim of Jami Lynn Hood against the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for $55,000.00 and directing that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Whereas, Jami Lynn Hood was involved in a automobile accident with a Metropolitan Public Works truck on Briley Parkway and sustained personal injuries and property damage as a result thereof; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable and recommends that this claim be compromised and settled and that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the claim of Jami Lynn Hood, against The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the amount not to exceed $55,000.00, which amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Account.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
