RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1274


A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into Utility Relocation Contract No. 5949 with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, for reimbursement of engineering and construction inspection provided by Metro Water Services, for State Project No. IM-40-3(121)204, 19003-2184-44, I-40 improvements at Robertson Road/Briley Parkway, located in Davidson County, Tennessee. (Metro Project Nos. 99-SG-159/99-WG-158).

WHEREAS, in order for the Tennessee Department of Transportation to construct State Project No. IM-40-3(121)204, 19003-218-44, I-40 improvements at Robertson Road/Briley Parkway; and

WHEREAS, the estimated reimbursement for engineering and construction inspection to the Department of Water and Sewerage Services is $10,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Transportation desires to start construction of said project and has submitted Utility Relocation Contract No. 5949, attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part of this resolution by reference, for the adjustments or construction of said water & sewer lines and facilities; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government is authorized by Ordinance No. 2002-1068 to enter, by resolution, into Utility Relocation Contract No. 5949 with the Tennessee Department of Transportation; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Utility Relocation Contract No. 5949 with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, attached hereto as Exhibit A. and made a part of this resolution by reference.

SECTION 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
