RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1269

A resolution approving a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for the Refugee Assistance Program.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed three hundred eighty one thousand eight hundred forty dollars ($381,840) to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for the Refugee Assistance Program; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for the Refugee Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed three hundred eighty one thousand eight hundred forty dollars ($381,840), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
