RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1268

A resolution approving a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for nutrition and transportation services.

Whereas, the Greater Nashville Regional Council, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed one million four thousand three hundred fifty four dollars ($1,004,354) to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for nutrition and transportation services; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the Greater Nashville Regional Council and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission for nutrition and transportation services, in an amount not to exceed one million four thousand three hundred fifty four dollars ($1,004,354), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2 That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
