RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1262

A resolution amending the pay plan for the employees of the Metropolitan Departments of Fire and Police, approved under Resolution No. RS2001-640, by adding the positions of Paramedic 3; Emergency Medical Technician 3; and Executive Administrator-Police/Fire.

Whereas, a pay plan was adopted for the employees of the Metropolitan Departments of Fire and Police, by passage of Resolution No. RS2001-640; and

Whereas, the positions of Paramedic 3; Emergency Medical Technician 3; and Executive Administrator-Police/Fire are classes created by the passage of Ordinance BL2002-1237; and

Whereas, it will be necessary to amend the pay plan created by Resolution No. RS2001-640 to provide for the insertion of these positions.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The pay plan for the employees of the Metropolitan Departments of Fire and Police, established by Resolution No. RS2001-640, is amended by adding the following positions:

The above positions will be in the classified service of the Metropolitan Government.

The attached pay chart and explanation of pay types sets out the compensation and applicable pay provisions. The terms of the attachments are considered a part of this Resolution as if specifically set out herein.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
