RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1260


A resolution appropriating $150,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds for Health and Safety Rehabilitation Grants for elderly homeowners in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area.


WHEREAS, application for the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. O99-69, BL 2000-495 and BL 2001-868; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth years included funds allocated to the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $150,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for Health and Safety Rehabilitation Grants for elderly homeowners in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $150,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds be allocated for Health and Safety Rehabilitation Grants for elderly homeowners in the Cameron Neighborhood Strategy Area:

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
