RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1236

A resolution appropriating $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for infrastructure improvements located at the intersection of Jefferson Street and D.B. Todd Boulevard.

WHEREAS, the application for the twenty-eighth year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL2001-868; and

WHEREAS, the application for the twenty-eighth year included funds allocated for the Jefferson Street Commercial District; and

WHEREAS, plans showing proposed improvements at the intersection of Jefferson Street and D.B. Todd Boulevard, to include a new turn lane and sidewalks, are on file at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated for the Jefferson Street Commercial District be appropriated for infrastructure improvements located at the intersection of Jefferson Street and D.B. Todd Boulevard.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
