RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1202

A resolution requesting Nashville Electric Service and the Tennessee State Department of Health to provide electric service to Warrior Football Field.

WHEREAS, Warrior Football Field, which provides activities for youth who participate in sports activities, is in need of electricity to provide for this facility, however, the cost to provide such electrical service is prohibitive for the organization which controls the field; and

WHEREAS, Nashville Electric Service and the State Department of Health both have facilities in the vicinity that could be extended to provide electric service to Warrior Football Field

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting Nashville Electric Service and the Director of the Tennessee State Department of Health to provide electric service to Warrior Football Field.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the President of Nashville Electric Service and to the Director of the State Department of Health.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1202

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. RS2002-1202 by amending Section 1 by adding

the phrase, “in the most cost-effective manner”, at the end thereof.
