RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1194
A resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Mayor to enter into a cooperative
agreement with the United States Department of the Interior - United States
Geological Survey for a program of Water Resources Investigation.
WHEREAS, The United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey has tentatively allocated certain funds for a program of Water Resources Investigation in the area of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County; and
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Program of Water Resources investigation requires that the United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to each provide $43,600.00; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 090-1384, Section 2, authorizes the Metropolitan Mayor to execute future agreements for the implementation and completion of this program, which agreement shall become binding on the Metropolitan Government upon ratification by Resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Mayor, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute Agreement No. TN0103300, copy attached as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: That
this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of
the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
