RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1125

A Resolution amending Resolution No. RS2002-920, as amended, by appropriating an additional $350,000 from the Reserve for Council Infrastructure Improvement Program Account to the Department of Public Works for additional infrastructure improvements.

WHEREAS, On January 31, 2002, the Metropolitan County Council adopted Resolution No. RS2002-920, as amended, which appropriated to the Department of Public Works two million dollars ($2,000,000) for infrastructure improvements; and

WHEREAS, Substitute Ordinance No. BL2002-1073, the 2002-2003 budget ordinance adopted by the Metropolitan County Council, appropriated $350,000 to the Reserve for Council Infrastructure Improvement Program, to provide additional funding for the program adopted under Resolution No. RS2002-920, as amended; and

WHEREAS, the Council now desires to appropriate said funds to supplement the infrastructure program created and funded under Resolution No. RS2002-920, as amended.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Resolution No. RS2002-920, as amended, shall be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 1 by adding the following provisions:

“The sum of Three Hundred, Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000) is hereby appropriated from the Reserve for Council Infrastructure Improvement Program for the General Services District to the special account previously created to be used by the department of public works funding the council infrastructure program as additional funding, with not more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) of this supplemental amount being expended in any one council district.”

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
