RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1120
A Resolution requesting the Board of Parks and Recreation and the Traffic
and Parking Commission to provide recreation and parking services without costs
to employees of Metropolitan Government with twenty-five or more years of service.
WHEREAS, additional benefits, if proper, should be provided to long-term employees
of Metropolitan Government in recognition of their service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby requests that the Board of Parks and Recreation and the Traffic and Parking Commission, if proper, provide recreation and parking services without cost to all employees of Metropolitan Government with twenty-five or more years of service with Metropolitan Government.
Section 2. The Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the members of the Board of Parks and Recreation and of the Traffic and Parking Commission and to the Director of Parks and to the acting Director of Public Works.
Section 3. That the Board of Parks and Recreation and the Traffic and Parking Commission each are further requested to inform the Metropolitan Council of the feasibility and/or the actions taken in compliance with the request contained in Section 1 hereof not later than thirty (30) days after the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
