RESOLUTON NO. RS2002-1104

A resolution approving a contract between the Metropolitan Government and The Vanderbilt Child & Family Policy Center for services in developing the Council Afterschool Initiative.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan County Council has previously adopted Ordinance No. BL2002-974 which authorized a contract to be entered into by the Metropolitan Government and The Child & Family Policy Center of Vanderbilt University for services in developing the Council Afterschool Initiative, providing such contract must be approved by resolution adopted by the Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby approves and authorizes the execution of a contract by and between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and The Child & Family Policy Center of Vanderbilt University, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated by reference.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
