A resolution approving an Amendment No. 2 to the Contract, which amendment increases the grant to an amount not to exceed $379,000 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the inspection, reporting and enforcement of retail food stores in Davidson County, and which amendment also sets forth the obligations of the State to the Metropolitan Government and the payment methodology.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Amendment No. 1 to the Contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health, approving an increase in the grant to an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy Nine Thousand Dollars ($379,000.00), for a term of January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2004, for the inspection, reporting and enforcement of retail food stores in Davidson County, and which amendment sets forth the obligations of the State to the Metropolitan Government and the payment methodology, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
