RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1059

A resolution appropriating $40,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for construction of a community walking track at Caldwell Elementary School.

WHEREAS, applications for the twenty-eighth year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. BL2001-868; and

WHEREAS, the application for the twenty-eighth year included funds allocated for Special Neighborhood Activities; and

WHEREAS, plans showing proposed improvements at Caldwell Elementary School are on file at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $40,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated for Special Neighborhood Activities be appropriated for construction of a community walking track at Caldwell Elementary School.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
