SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1036

A resolution recognizing Mario Ferrari as the Ambassador of Midtown area of Nashville, Tennessee and Won S. Choi as the President of Midtown Business Association of Nashville.

WHEREAS, Mario Ferrari has owned and operated Mario's Italian Restaurant at 2005 Broadway for more than 35 years, where he has achieved great success in the restaurant business; and

WHEREAS, Mario Ferrari has supported and promoted not only his own restaurant in the area, but other restaurants, entertainment venues and businesses in the Midtown area; and

WHEREAS, Won S. Choi has actively led the Midtown community in beautification, marketing, safety and planning issues: and

WHEREAS, Won S. Choi has organized and served the Midtown community as a community leader and President of the Midtown Business Association of Nashville (MBAN): and

WHERAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council go on record as recognizing Mr. Ferrari as the Ambassador of Midtown and Won S. Choi as the President of MBAN in appreciation of his efforts in promoting this vital section of our community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Mario Ferrari as the Ambassador of Midtown area of Nashville, Tennessee.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Won S. Choi as the President of Midtown Business Association and an exemplary community leader of Midtown area Nashville, Tennessee.

SECTION 3. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mr. Mario Ferrari and Mr. Won S. Choi.

SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
