RESOLUTION NO. RS2002-1008

A resolution appropriating $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for property acquisition, infrastructure development, and related costs in the Hope Gardens Neighborhood Area.

WHEREAS, applications for the twenty-fifth, twenty-sixth, and twenty-seventh years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. O98-1498, O99-69, and BL2000-495; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-fifth, twenty-sixth, and twenty-seventh years included funds allocated to the Hope Gardens Neighborhood area; and

WHEREAS, plans showing proposed improvements are on file at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Hope Gardens Neighborhood Area be appropriated for property acquisition, infrastructure development, and related costs in the Hope Gardens Neighborhood Area.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
