A resolution amending Resolution No. RS2001-720, which recognized the 100th year anniversary of the Metropolitan Department of Parks & Recreation, by directing that the Metropolitan Clerk prepare a hand-lettered scroll for presentation to the Metro Board of Parks & Recreation.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council adopted Resolution No. RS2001-720 on September 4, 2001, which recognized the 100th year anniversary of the Metropolitan Department of Parks & Recreation; and

WHEREAS, the Resolution directed the Council Office to prepare a copy of the Resolution to be presented to Mr. James Fyke on behalf of the Metro Parks & Recreation Department; and

WHEREAS, it is desired that a hand-lettered scroll be presented to the Board of Parks & Recreation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as amending Resolution No. RS2001-720, which recognized the 100th year anniversary of the Metropolitan Department of Parks & Recreation, by amending Section 2 by directing that the Metropolitan Clerk prepare a hand-lettered scroll for presentation to the Metro Board of Parks & Recreation.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
