A resolution requesting the Metropolitan Traffic & Parking Commission to increase the number of parking meters on Second Avenue North and First Avenue North, between Broadway and Public Square.

WHEREAS, to provide for more public accommodations for parking, it is fitting and proper that additional parking meters be provided on Second Avenue North and First Avenue North, between Broadway and Public Square.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Metropolitan Traffic & Parking Commission to increase the number of parking meters on Second Avenue North and First Avenue North, between Broadway and Public Square.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the chairman and members of the Metropolitan Traffic & Parking Commission.

SECTION 3. That the chairman and members of the Metropolitan Traffic & Parking Commission are further requested to inform The Metropolitan Council of the feasibility and/or the actions taken in compliance with the request contained in Section 1 thereof, not later than sixty (60) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
