RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-830

A resolution approving an increase of $5,000 to a grant from the Nashville Prevention Partnership to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation.

Whereas, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2000-294, the Metropolitan Council approved a twelve thousand dollar ($12,000) grant (the "Grant") from the Nashville Prevention Partnership to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation; and

Whereas, said Ordinance permits modification of the terms of the Grant by resolution; and

Whereas, pursuant to the document attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated into this resolution by reference, the Nashville Prevention Partnership proposes to increase the Grant by five thousand dollars ($5,000); and

Whereas, the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County will benefit by an increase in the Grant.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The proposed increase in the Grant is hereby approved.

Section 2. Any further amendment or supplement to the Grant must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
