A resolution appropriating five million three hundred thirty thousand nine hundred ninety nine dollars ($5,330,999) from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District and seven million five hundred thousand dollars ($7,500,000) from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Purpose School Fund to fund certain specified projects in the Mayor's Capital Spending Plan.

Whereas, Section 6.10 of the Charter of the Metropolitan Government permits the Metropolitan Council to make appropriations in addition to those contained in the current operating budget "from an existing unappropriated surplus in the fund to which it applies"; and

Whereas, an unappropriated surplus of funds is available in the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District and the General Purpose School Fund which is sufficient to fund certain projects specified in the Mayor's Capital Spending Plan.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan County Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the sum of five million three hundred thirty thousand nine hundred ninety nine dollars ($5,330,999) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund of the General Services District to fund the projects listed on the attached Exhibit A.

Section 2. That the sum of seven million five hundred thousand dollars ($7,500,000) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Purpose School Fund to fund the projects listed on the attached Exhibit B.

Section 3. All resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict with the provisions of this resolution are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.

SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
