RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-802
A resolution recognizing Rhonda Brigail Reece on outstanding leadership skills.
WHEREAS, Rhonda Brigail Reece, a senior at Fisk University was elected Vice President of The Student Government Association for 2000-2001; and
WHEREAS, she also served as President of the Fisk University Student Senate during the 2000-2001 school year where she had the task of re-vitalizing a student senate that had not functioned in five years; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Reece served as a beacon of encouragement for the student body and her zest for moving the student body forward was felt by all who came into her company; and
WHEREAS, her leadership caused the students to feel a rebirth of loyalty and enthusiasm for the university which resulted in a spirit of cooperation and exhilaration for learning and achievement; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize and salute the accomplishments, achievements and outstanding leadership qualities of Rhonda Brigail Reece who is a native of Dallas, Texas and the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Leroy Reece, Sr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Rhonda Brigail Reece on outstanding leadership skills.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Rhonda Brigail Reece.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
