A resolution recognizing Elsie and Conley Haynes on their 60th wedding anniversary.

WHEREAS, a wedding anniversary is truly cause for a celebration and on Saturday, October 6, 2001, Elsie and Conley Haynes observed this significant milestone in their life together; and

WHEREAS, their celebration included a backyard family reunion, with more than 100 beloved family members and friends; and

WHEREAS, the dedication, patience, wisdom, and understanding that they demonstrate on a daily basis has provided a firm foundation for both family and friends; and

WHEREAS, this devoted couple has shared the trails and triumphs of six decades together, their commitment, and unyielding strength is a source of inspiration; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Elsie and Conley Haynes on this joyous occasion, and extend our very best wishes for continued health and happiness as they embark on their 60-year journey; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record recognizing Elsie and Conley Haynes on their 60th wedding anniversary.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Elsie and Conley Haynes.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
