RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-791

A resolution approving a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, by and through the Health Resources and Services Administration, to the Metropolitan Board of Health for a Community Access Program to improve and expand access to medical services, substance abuse, mental and dental health services in an amount not to exceed $1,080,819.00, and appropriating $930,000 for use in Fiscal Year 2002.

Whereas, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, by and through the Health Resources and Services Administration, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $1,080,819.00 to the Metropolitan Board of Health for a Community Access Program.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, by and through the Health Resources and Services Administration, to the Department of Health of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for a Community Access Program in an amount not to exceed $1,080,810.00 and for a term beginning on September 1, 2001 and continuing through August 31, 2002, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the General Services District to the account listed below which is in addition to those contained in the current operating budget:
