RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-777

A resolution approving a contract by and between the Alcohol and Drug Council of Middle Tennessee, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health, in the amount of $200,000.00 to provide substance abuse detoxification and treatment services for the homeless.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Health desires to enter into an agreement with the Alcohol and Drug Council of Middle Tennessee, Inc. for substance abuse detoxification and treatment services for the homeless; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the Alcohol and Drug Council of Middle Tennessee, Inc. for the provision of substance abuse detoxification and treatment services for the homeless at a cost not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars, and for a term beginning on July 1, 2001 and extending through June 30, 2002, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
