A resolution approving a contract between Xantus Healthplan of Tennessee, Inc. and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for reimbursement of non-emergency transportation services for TennCare recipients who qualify for transportation services.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, desires to enter into an agreement with Xantus Healthplan of Tennessee, Inc. for the purpose of providing reimbursement for non-emergency transportation services; and,

Whereas, Xantus will pay the Transportation Vendors for the non-emergency transportation services to TennCare recipients; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Xantus Healthplan of Tennessee, Inc., for reimbursement to TennCare Transportation Vendors to be made by Xantus Healthplan of Tennessee, Inc., and for a term beginning on January 1, 2001 and extending through December 31, 2005, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said contract.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
