A resolution approving a lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County on behalf of the Department of Public Works and the R.J. Young Company for the lease of a copier.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government has entered into a lease with R.J. Young Company for the lease of an Engineering Large Format Copier/Scanner/Printer for the Department of Public Works (copy attached hereto); and,

Whereas, Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020, which applies to all departments, boards, commissions and agencies, provides that all leases for equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for said lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

Whereas, the annual expenditure to lease said copier/scanner/printer exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said contract.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract for the lease of an Engineering Large Format Copier/Scanner/Printer between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County on behalf of Department of Public Works and R.J. Young Company, (copy attached hereto and incorporated herein), at the annual lease cost of seven thousand nine hundred fifty six dollars ($7,956) for a lease term of five years is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
