A resolution requesting the Mayor, the Director of the Public Works Department, and the Director of the Health Department to take action to prevent unsafe health hazards under the Demonbreun Street Bridge.

WHEREAS, the repair and reconstruction of the Demonbreun Street Bridge has been under discussion for some time, however, there currently exists unsafe conditions and conditions that could create a health hazard that needs to be abated.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Mayor, the Director of the Public Works Department, and the Director of the Health Department to take action to prevent unsafe health hazards under the Demonbreun Street Bridge.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Mayor, the Director of the Public Works Department, and the Director of the Health Department.

SECTION 3. That the Mayor, the Director of the Public Works Department, and the Director of the Health Department are further requested to inform The Metropolitan Council of the feasibility and/or the actions taken in compliance with the request contained in Section 1 thereof, not later than sixty (60) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
