RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-724

A resolution recognizing Attorney David Vincent.

WHEREAS, David Vincent, a highly respected attorney with over 46 years of legal experience began practicing law in 1955, after receiving his law degree and passing the State bar in Memphis; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Vincent began his legal career as a clerk in Chattanooga, before heading to Washington, D.C. for a short assignment with the Labor Department, then moving on to test his legal skills in Ohio were he was introduced to civil law by doing title searches, eventually returning back to Nashville to work as a criminal defense attorney; and

WHEREAS, noted for his wisdom, his expertise in all areas of law, determination and integrity, David Vincent is an exemplary gentleman who has distinguished himself in his profession; and

WHEREAS, throughout his career Mr. Vincent, drawing on his education, expertise and experience he has handled many major criminal cases; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize David Vincent for his contributions to the public image of the legal profession in Tennessee while earning the lasting respect and admiration of all who know him.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Attorney David Vincent.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to David Vincent.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
