RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-722

A resolution recognizing Paramedic Dwight Davis and Paramedic Michael Hall for their extraordinary performance as paramedics.

WHEREAS, on Sunday, May 20, 2001, the composure in the line-of-duty showed by Paramedic's Dwight Davis and Michael Hall in treating heart attack victim Mr. Tim Mason are indeed deserving of special recognition; and

WHEREAS, the teamwork, quick-thinking and professionalism of Paramedics Davis and Hall in going the extra mile in stabilizing the condition of Mr. Mason before transporting made a difference in saving his life; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Mason, was truly fortunate to have such two dedicated and trustworthy paramedics come to his aid; and

WHEREAS, it is men like Paramedics Davis and Hall who work in the medical field giving of their time, talents and energy for the betterment of residents of Davidson County who, often times unexpectedly, rely on their skills and expertise; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Paramedic Dwight Davis and Paramedic Michael Hall for providing essential services to our communities and commend them for another job well done.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Paramedic Dwight Davis and Paramedic Michael Hall for their extraordinary performance as paramedics.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Paramedic Dwight Davis and Paramedic Michael Hall.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
