RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-669

A resolution recognizing attorney Sam Wallace upon his retirement from legal practice.

WHEREAS, in March of 2001, Mr. Sam Wallace, a highly respected attorney retired after 43 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, during his tenure Mr. Wallace was a fixture in Nashville's courtrooms, defending the rights of clients; and

WHEREAS, drawing on his education and experience to benefit his fellow Tennesseans, Sam Wallace exemplified the traits of integrity and commitment as a public servant in representing Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, noted for his wisdom, his expertise in the field of law, and his humility, Sam Wallace is an exemplary gentleman who has distinguished himself in his profession; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Sam Wallace for his contributions to the public image of the legal profession in Tennessee while earning the lasting respect and admiration of all who know him.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Attorney Sam Wallace upon his retirement from legal practice.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Mr. Sam Wallace.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
