RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-667

A resolution recognizing Nashville School of Law alumni, Marlene Eskind Moses, Thomas D. Benson, Jack A. Butler and Richard H. Frank.

WHEREAS, esteemed attorney's Marlene Eskind Moses and Thomas D. Benson were honored by the Nashville School of Law during its annual Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, April 25th at 6:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown; and

WHEREAS, Jack A. Butler and Richard H. Frank of the Nashville School of Law were presented with the Distinguished Faculty Award at the dinner; and

WHEREAS, the Nashville School of Law, founded in 1911, was originally housed at the downtown YMCA, and relocated in 1990 into its new facilities on Sidco Drive; and

WHEREAS, noted for their wisdom and expertise in the field of law Marlene Eskind Moses, Thomas D. Benson, Jack A. Butler and Richard H. Frank exemplify the rich history of the school in giving unselfishly of their time and talent to ensure that the Nashville School of Law remains a stepping stone for great legal careers; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the 2001 honorees of the Nashville School of Law who have embodied all that this school strives to be.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Nashville School of Law alumni, Marlene Eskind Moses, Thomas D. Benson, Jack A. Butler and Richard H. Frank.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Marlene Eskind Moses, Thomas D. Benson, Jack A. Butler and Richard H. Frank.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
