A resolution approving a grant in the amount of $5,116,023.00 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Health Department, for the provision of various health services, including adolescent pregnancy prevention, children's special services, community development services, Families First, TennCare eligibility services, and others.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 1: That the grant agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, for the provision of health services, which includes adolescent pregnancy prevention, children's special services, community development services, Families First, TennCare eligibility services, and others, in an amount not to exceed $5,116,023.00 and for a term a commencing on July 1, 2001 and ending on June 30, 2002, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
