RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-634

A resolution approving an amendment to the grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the Air Pollution Control 105 Program, decreasing the amount of said grant from $740,573.00 to $572,663.00.

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2000-188 approved a grant for $694,109.00 from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to the Metropolitan Government, by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the Air Pollution Control 105 Program; and,

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2000-416 approved an increase in grant funds to $740,573.00; and

Whereas, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has now decreased the total amount of compensation awarded to $572,663.00; and

Whereas, Resolution No. RS2000-188 provided that the grant can be amended by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes; and,

Whereas, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said amendment.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the amendment to the grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for the Air Pollution Control 105 Program, which amendment decreases the amount of said grant from $740,573.00 to $572,663.00, which agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said amendment.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
