RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-624
A resolution approving an amendment to a grant to the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide a Commodity Supplemental Food Program for low-income women, infants, and children.
Whereas, the Metropolitan
Government has previously received a grant for the Metropolitan Board of Health
from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health to provide a Commodity Supplemental
Food Program for low-income women, infants, and children; and,
Whereas, amendments to the grant may be made by Resolution.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That Amendment No. 1 to the grant to The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board
of Health, from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, that increases
the amount provided for a Commodity Supplemental Food Program for low-income
women, infants, and children, to an amount not to exceed $218,200.00, and for
a term beginning on October 1, 2000 and ending on September 30, 2001, which
grant amendment is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and
the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute
said grant.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage,
the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County
requiring it.
