RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-623

A resolution approving a contract by and between United Way of Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for lease of a mobile clinic to provide early childhood health screening services.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, has entered into a contract with United Way of Nashville to provide early childhood screening services through the use of a Mobile Screening Clinic to provide early childhood health screening; and,
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: That the contract entered into by and between United Way of Nashville and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, wherein United Way Of Nashville agrees to pay to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County the sum of $195,870.00 for use of the mobile clinic and for a term beginning on April 1, 2001 and ending on March 31, 2002, be and the same is hereby approved.
Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
