A resolution amending the grant from the Frist Foundation approved by BL2001-609 for the performance audit of the Metropolitan Board of Public Education, by increasing the grant by the sum of $53,470.00.

Whereas, Ordinance No. BL2001-609 recently approved a grant of $100,000 from the Frist Foundation for funding of the performance audit of the Metropolitan Board of Public Education; and,

Whereas, the Frist Foundation wishes to increase its grant for funding of the performance audit by the sum of $53,470.00; and,

Whereas, it is in the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept the increased grant amount; and,

Whereas, Section 2 of Ordinance No. BL2001-609 provides that amendments to the grant approved therein may be approved by resolution receiving twenty-one (21) votes.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 1. That the grant of $100,000.00 from the Frist Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for funding the performance audit of the Metropolitan Board of Public Education, as approved by Ordinance No. BL2001-609, which amendment increases said grant by the sum of $53,470.00, be and the same is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
