RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-590
A resolution to accept the Fiscal Year 2001 Recycling Rebate in the amount of $102,000.01 and to appropriate a matching amount from the Metropolitan Government Recycling Reserve Fund.
Whereas, the Metropolitan Government has received a recycling rebate in the amount of $102,000.01 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment and Conservation for Solid Waste, Division of Community Assistance; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Government desires to utilize the funds for various recycling projects; and
Whereas, the State rebate program requires a local match of equal dollars; and
Whereas, the local match of $102,000.01 is available in the Metropolitan Government's recycling reserve fund
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. The recycling rebate funds from the State of Tennessee for fiscal year 2000/2001, in the amount of $102,000.01 are hereby accepted.
Section 2. The local match of $102,000.01 is hereby appropriated from the Metropolitan Government's recycling reserve fund (Fund 30501.323807).
Section 3. The funds referred to in Sections 1 and 2 hereafter are appropriated to the Metropolitan Government's recycling budget (BU42700200) for Fiscal Year 2000/2001 for purchase of equipment.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
