A resolution appropriating $350,000 of Urban Development Action Grant Repayment Funds for a mixed-income housing development referred to as Row 8.9 in the Hope Gardens neighborhood.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 090-1112, the Metropolitan Council allocated a portion of payments received in connection with the Capitol Mall Urban Development Action Grant (UDAG) to affordable housing activities in Nashville's Pocket of Poverty; and

WHEREAS, the development of Row 8.9 will provide affordable housing opportunities for low-moderate income persons and is within Nashville's Pocket of Poverty.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $350,000 of Capitol Mall Urban Development Action Grant repayment funds are hereby appropriated for a mixed-income housing development called Row 8.9 in the Hope Gardens Neighborhood.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
