RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-555
A resolution authorizing the Department of Law to compromise and settle the lawsuit of Annette Daniel against The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in the amount of $11,000.00 and directing that this amount be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Whereas, plaintiff, Annette Daniel, was injured as a result of the cracked and uneven sidewalk in front of Cameron Middle School on September 2, 1998;
Whereas, Annette Daniel incurred medical expenses as a result of said incident; and
Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that a settlement of Eleven Thousand ($11,000) Dollars is fair and reasonable and recommends that this claim be compromised and settled and that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the lawsuit of Annette Daniel against the Metropolitan Government for the amount of Eleven Thousand ($11,000) Dollars.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after this adoption,
the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County
requiring it.
