A resolution authorizing the Department of Law to compromise and settle the lawsuit of Elizabeth M. Osborne against The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in the amount of $58,000.00, and directing that this amount be paid out of the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Whereas, plaintiff Kenny Osborne, deceased, died at Nashville General Hospital on 3/18/98.

Whereas, Kenny Osborne's family incurred medical expenses and the loss of a family member as a result of said incident;

Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Law believes that a settlement of Fifty-Eight Thousand ($58,000) Dollars is a fair and reasonable and recommends that this claim be compromised and settled and that this amount be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to compromise and settle the lawsuit of Elizabeth M. Osborne against the Metropolitan Government for the amount of Fifty-Eight Thousand ($58,000) Dollars and that said amount should be paid from the Self-Insured Liability Fund.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after this adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
