RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-538


A resolution recognizing John Trotwood Moore "Lady Matadors" Girls Soccer Team on their successful 2000 season.


WHEREAS, this talented team completed another successful season of soccer competition by outplaying and out shooting several worthy opponents by posting a record of ten wins and no losses; in out scoring their opponents 94-2; and

WHEREAS, advancing to the City Championship on October 17, 2000, at Hillsboro High School, the J.T. Moore Girls Soccer Team captured their second consecutive city championship with a 3-1 win victory over Meigs; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Rob Hancock instilled in the players a commitment to excellence and under his direction, the team maintained discipline necessary to develop the skills needed to succeed in a competitive sport; and

WHEREAS, members of this talented team are: Ali Baker-Beals, Jennifer Bognar, Katie Bruck, Jessie Capps, Ciera Chrismon, Emelyn Davies, Diana Ekman, Kristin Forbes, Courtney Hill, Anna Holt, Katie Johnson, Elizabeth Kirk, Grace Lee, Grace Masterson, Caitlin Pinhey, Maggy Randels, Kaitlin Reinhardt, Blair Slingerland, Stephanie Sturges and Rebecca Tischler; and

WHEREAS, exhibiting perseverance, team unity, and respect for the highest ideals of American sportsmanship, the Lady Matadors have brought honor to their community, their school, and their families; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the 2000 J.T. Moore "Lady Matadors" and their coach for there outstanding season.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing John Trotwood Moore "Lady Matadors" Girls Soccer Team on their successful 2000 season.

SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Head Coach Rob Hancock and each member of the John Trotwood Moore Girls Soccer Team.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
