RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-529
A resolution recognizing Robert H. Jennings on his 50 years of outstanding, loyal and dedicated years of legal experience.
WHEREAS, Robert H. Jennings, a highly respected attorney, began practicing law
in 1950, after receiving his law degree from Cumberland Law School, and is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his noteworthy career; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jennings began his career in law practicing with the likes of Wilson West, Charles Frazier and Judge Bill Faimon, served as the city attorney for Nashville under Mayor Ben West and served as Brentwood's attorney since 1974; and
WHEREAS, drawing on his education and experience to benefit his fellow Tennesseans, Robert H. Jennings exemplifies the traits of integrity and commitment as a public servant in representing Davidson County; and
WHEREAS, noted for his wisdom, his expertise in the field of law, and his humility, Robert H. Jennings is an exemplary gentleman who has distinguished himself in his profession; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize Robert H. Jennings for his contributions to the public image of the legal profession in Tennessee while earning the lasting respect and admiration of all who know him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Robert H. Jennings on his 50 years of outstanding, loyal and dedicated years of legal experience.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Council Staff Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Robert H. Jennings.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
