RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-520

A resolution approving an amendment to a lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Arts Commission and the Historical Commission and Cummins Station, L.L.C. to extend the lease term.

Whereas, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission and the Metropolitan Historical Commission has negotiated an amendment to the lease agreement with Cummins Station L.L.C, to lease office space at 209 10th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203, which extends the lease term from March 1, 2001 to June 30, 2001 and increases the monthly rental payment to three thousand fifty four dollars and fifty one cents ($3,054.51), a copy of which is attached hereto; and

Whereas, said lease was approved and accepted by the Metropolitan Council by ordinance (Bill No. 096-160); and

Whereas, Bill No. 096-160 provided that amendments to this lease shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty one affirmative votes; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment to the Lease Agreement be approved.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the amendment to the lease agreement entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Arts Commission and the Metropolitan Historical Commission has negotiated an amendment to the lease agreement with Cummins Station L.L.C. to lease office space at 209 10th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203, which extends the lease term from March 1, 2001 to June 30, 2001 and increases the monthly rental payment to three thousand fifty four dollars and fifty one cents ($3,054.51), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
