A resolution appropriating $85,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the construction of streetscape work and infrastructure improvements on 12th Avenue South in the 12 South Commercial District.

Whereas, application for the twenty-fifth year of the Community Development Block Grant program was approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance No. O99-69; and

Whereas, the application for the twenty-fifth year included funds for streetscape work and infrastructure improvements in the 12 South Commercial District; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Department of Public Works is authorized by Council Resolution R99-1641 to begin storm water infrastructure improvements along 12th Avenue South between Halcyon Avenue and Caruthers Street; and

Whereas, the construction plans are on file with the Metropolitan Department of Public Works and the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $85,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the 12 South Commercial District be appropriated for construction of streetscape work and infrastructure improvements on 12th Avenue South.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
