RESOLUTION NO. RS2001-500

A resolution appropriating $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the construction of water and sewer infrastructure servicing the Luton/Meridian Subdivision in East Nashville.

Whereas, applications for the twenty-third, twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. O97-995, O98-1428, and O99-69; and

Whereas, the applications for the twenty-third, twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth years included funds allocated to support the development of affordable housing; and

Whereas, plans showing proposed improvements are on file at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; and

Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The Council of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to support the development of affordable housing be appropriated for the construction of water and sewer infrastructure servicing the Luton/Meridian Subdivision in East Nashville.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
